Jets set school record in season-opening romp - Robinson leads all scorers with 27

AMERICUS — Steve Robinson was 11 of 14 from the floor, made five 3-pointers and scored a game-high 27 points as South Georgia Tech stormed past Middle Georgia Tech, 133-57.
The Jets set a school record for most points in a game; they led 73-29 at the half.
Five other Jets scored in double figures led by Winston Edwards' 18 points. Dominique Hadley chipped in 13 points and 13 rebounds.
The Jets dominated in every category. They took 101 shots, making 55 of them while holding the Titans to 30 percent. They had a 64-36 rebounding edge, 44-12 in points off turnovers, 43-12 in second-chance and 77-31 off the bench.
South Georgia Tech finished the first half on a 43-10 run over the final 8:40.
Maliek Daniels had 15 points and six rebounds, all in the second half.
Daniel Huntington led four Titans in double figures with 12 points.
Lady Jets Black 64, Red 50
Dee Smith scored 30 points and grabbed 11 boards to lead the Lady Jets Black team past the Lady Jets Red in an intersquad scrimmage.
The Middle Georgia Tech Lady Titans basketball team didn't show, so the Lady Jets put on an inner squad exhibition for the fans.
Monique Willis led Red with 25 points and nine rebounds; Zsoka Ruttner added 10.
Ophelia McMath had a double-double of 13 points and 14 rebounds, and Zandreal Blakely scored 10.
Black led 29-17 at the half.
