Sixteen entrepreneurs attend Start Your Own Business seminar at South Georgia Tech

Sixteen individuals interested in owning and operating local businesses attended South Georgia Technical College’s free “Start Your Own Business” seminar recently in the John M. Pope Industrial Technology Center on the Americus campus.
The group received information on “Getting Started,” “Writing a Business Plan,” “Selecting a Location and Name,” “Advertising,” “Record Keeping,” “Business Taxes,” and “Obtaining Financing” at the seminar.
Wally Summers, Vice President of Economic Development at South Georgia Technical College, conducted the free seminar.
Additional seminars for individuals interested in starting their own businesses are planned for Tuesday, August 24th from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. and on Thursday, September 16th from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. at South Georgia Technical College.
