SGTC hosts Youth Basketball camp

South Georgia Technical College recently hosted a Youth Basketball Camp for boys and girls aged 9—12 in South Georgia Technical College’s gymnasium, “The Hangar.”

SGTC Jets Head Coach Steven Wright and Jets Assistant Coach Reco Dawson taught 16 local boys and girls the fundamentals of basketball, such as dribbling, passing, and shooting, as well as the different types of shots such as lay-ups, free throws, and three pointers.

The students ran drills and played various games to help them hone their basketball skills. The group also learned about teamwork and good sportsmanship.
