Thursday December 16, 2010
Gwen Hall of Americus has joined the staff of South Georgia Technical College as an Accounting Technician for SGTC’s Americus campus.

As Accounting Technician, Hall will maintain accounts payable in SGTC’s Business Office. She will also assist with the SGTC bookstore.

Previously, Hall was employed at the Sumter County Board of Commissioners as an Administrative Accounting Assistant, where she assisted with bookkeeping and accounting duties, as well as other administrative duties. She also worked as a Teller at DOCO Regional Federal Credit Union in Americus, where she handled cash transactions, processed cash deposits and withdrawals, and processed loan payments and wires.

“I am very excited about my new position with South Georgia Technical College,” said Hall. “My experience so far has been exciting and rewarding. I am so grateful to God for allowing me this opportunity to work with such a great group of people. SGTC staff and faculty have been generous in making me feel welcome.”

“It is a privilege to serve in this capacity and I pray that my contribution to the institution will be equally rewarding and productive,” said Hall.

Hall and her husband Shelby reside in Americus with their two daughters, Nancia, 9, and Alexcia, 7, where she is a member of The Household of Faith Ministries, Inc.
