SGTC Crisp County Center National Technical Honor Society holds meeting

The South Georgia Technical College Crisp County Center National Technical Honor Society held its first meeting of the 2012-2013 academic year recently on the SGTC Crisp County Center campus in Cordele.

The group elected the following members as officers: Lonnie Robinson of Cordele from Electrical Systems Technology, President; D.W. Persall of Cordele from Electronics Technology, Vice President; Tracy Evers of Arabi from Computer Information Systems, Secretary.

The SGTC NTHS members agreed as its first Service Learning Project of the year to work with the Crisp-Cordele Chamber of Commerce to collect supplies for Soldiers’ Angel Care Packages. Items to be collected include personal hygiene products, select food items, and entertainment items such as DVDs, CDs and games. The care packages will be distributed to soldiers stationed overseas in Afghanistan and in training at Fort Benning.
