Melissa Grantham joins SGTC as Law Enforcement Academy Administrative Assistant

Melissa Grantham has joined South Georgia Technical College as an Administrative Assistant for the Basic Law Enforcement Academy, announced South Georgia Technical College President Sparky Reeves. She will report to SGTC Dean of Homeland Security Programs Vanessa Wall and SGTC Law Enforcement Academy Director Brett Murray.
Grantham lives in Ellaville and has worked as a Drafter/Clerk at King’s Custom Builders, Inc., in Ellaville as well as an Administrative Assistant at ResCare in Reynolds. She was also a Supervisor of Consumer Accounting for Flint Energies in Reynolds, Georgia.
She is a graduate of Samson High School in Samson, Alabama. She has a Georgia Work Ready Certificate and has obtained certificates in Leadership Education and Development, Analyzing the Account Receivables Side of the Books and Boot Camp for Supervisors. She has also served as the Relay of Life Chair and Co-Chair in Taylor County and was a Relay for Life Team Captain for Flint Energies.
As a Basic Law Enforcement Academy Administrative Assistant, Grantham will be assisting students and the general public who are inquiring about or interested in enrolling in the South Georgia Technical College Law Enforcement Academy. She will also be providing word-processing, data entry, and secretarial support to the Dean of Homeland Security and the Director of the SGTC Law Enforcement Academy.
She is married to Jamie Grantham of Ellaville. They have a daughter, Amber, who is three and Melissa has four step-daughters and one step-son.
