Six students in the South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program were recently recognized during a ceremony held in McLain Hall on the college’s Americus campus.

The students, who began the program in January, successfully completed the intensive training this semester and met all requirements to earn their CNA certificates.

Those recognized included Jalarmie Lyles of Preston, McKenzie Muldrow of Americus, Kayla Parker of Montezuma, Valeria Santiz-Gomez of Plains, Arion Waters of Americus, and Tralisha Williams of Americus.

CNA Instructor Janice Wiseman commended the group for their commitment and perseverance throughout the program. She encouraged the graduates to view their certification as a starting point and to continue pursuing opportunities for growth and advancement in the healthcare field.

The CNA program is one of over 200 offered at South Georgia Technical College leading to a technical certificate of credit, a diploma, or an associate degree. Apply now for summer semester at www.southgatech.edu. Classes begin May 27.
