SGTC Business Technology Advisory Committee Meets on Crisp Campus

Posted on

South Georgia Technical College recently held an advisory meeting for its Business Technology program in the boardroom at SGTC's Crisp County Center. The Business Technology advisory committee met with Business Technology instructors Teresa Jolly and Nicole Turner. The members reviewed all aspects of the program to ensure it is up to date with the latest trends and changes in the business and administrative technology industries.

The purpose of the advisory committee meetings is to provide expert support for the programs the committee represents. The meetings promote interaction among the programs, businesses, and industries they serve. The faculty draws on the advisory committee's expertise to improve the programs' content and operations.

As committee members, individuals may serve as guest speakers in class, help arrange field trips for the program, assist with recruitment, provide on-the-job training for students, assist with job placement for students, and provide other services as the committee sees fit.

Members of the committee present at the advisory meeting were Kylee Lancaster of Crisp County Power, Sarah Howell of Crisp County Power, Tartisha Sneed of Planters First Bank, Elizabeth Jones of Crisp Regional Hospital, Vickie Teemer of Crisp Regional Hospital, and Mark Lewis of TCSG. Matthew Kennedy, Dean of Academic Affairs, and Katrice Martin, Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Grants Coordinator, also attended the advisory meeting.
