Thomas Weber of Americus has been hired as a full-time custodian for South Georgia Technical College’s Americus campus effective immediately. He will be reporting to the SGTC Director of Maintenance Jeff Moore and Vice President of Operations Karen Werling.
As a custodian on the Americus campus, Weber will be responsible for maintaining and caring for the South Georgia Technical College buildings and facilities as well as other duties as assigned.
Weber was previously employed at Burger King in Americus where he worked as an overnight sanitor. His duties were to clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, floors, and food prep stations; clean and sanitize front of house tables and floors and be responsible for overnight store security. He also worked as a service technician for the Certified Restoration and Dry Cleaning Network where he maintained protective gear and cleaned fire and flood-damaged textiles. He also worked at the Mobile Glass Blowing Studios in Americus in maintenance, welding, fabricating, packaging, and inventory.
