South Georgia Technical College's La'Deja James (10) was named the GCAA Division I women's basketball Player of the Week for the fourth time.

South Georgia Technical College returning sophomore La’Deja James, a 5’ 8” guard of Virginia Beach, Virginia, was selected as the Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) Division I women’s basketball player of the week for the second consecutive week.
I am really excited for Deja to be recognized by the coaches in the GCAA for a second straight week,” said South Georgia Technical College Athletic Director James Frey and Lady Jets head coach. “She has made great strides from her freshman year until now and still has a lot of improving to do. She can be as good as anyone we’ve had here. She just has to work for it.”
James averaged 17 points, 7.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and four steals in three games this past week that earned her the GCAA nomination for the second consecutive week. The previous week, she scored 21 points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals in a road win for the Lady Jets.
The Lady Jets are 8 – 1 on the season.
