SGTC NTHS students give back through service

Posted on

Members of the South Georgia Technical College National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) gave back to the college recently through an act of service.

The National Technical Honor Society members gathered to help give back to the Americus campus and create an even cleaner space for the Spring graduation ceremony by picking up trash around the campus.

Two of the members, Jack Beal and Emma Foley, were actually participating in the graduation ceremony and are already employed. They received an associate degree from the SGTC Caterpillar Electrical Power Generation Heavy Equipment Dealer Service Technology program and will work in the electric power generation field and have job prospects that include international travel.

Keyara Washington and Gregory Hester will return for classes this summer and continue working with NTHS and providing further acts of service to their campus and local communities.
