Brad Harnum named SGTC full-time EMT Instructor

Brad Harnum has been named as the South Georgia Technical College full-time Emergency Medical Technology instructor effective immediately, announced South Georgia Technical College President Dr. John Watford. He will teach on both the Americus and the Crisp County campuses and will report to SGTC Vice President of Academic Affairs David Kuipers.
Harnum was been working as an EMT adjunct instructor for South Georgia Technical College for the past 10 months while also working as a full-time Firefighter/Paramedic with the Lee County Public Safety office and the Gold Star EMS group in the Americus area. He has worked as a Firefighter/Paramedic in Lee County since 2011 and has been with Gold Star EMS for over a year. He have been in the Fire and Emergency Medical field since 2006.
The new SGTC EMT instructor is a graduate of the South Georgia Technical College Crisp County Center with an EMT Intermediate certification. He continued his training at Albany Technical College, where he earned a diploma in Paramedicine.
As South Georgia Tech’s newest EMT instructor, Harnum will provide instruction to South Georgia Technical College EMT students by using the appropriate teaching techniques in the classroom and in the lab area.
Brad is married to Kristen Faith Harnum and they live in Dooly County.
