SGTC Adult Education/GED program holds level completion party

South Georgia Technical College’s Adult Education department recently held a Level Completion party for GED students. Assistant Vice President for Adult Education, LaShondra Coleman and GED Instructor, Tonya Visage recognized the students by giving them a certificate of the level completion and a gift bag. They were also rewarded with pizza and cupcakes.

The Adult Education program is designed to provide instruction in basic education to the adult learner. Services range from individualized instruction for the nonreader, computer aided instruction, and GED preparation. Day and evening classes are available throughout the year in Sumter, Crisp, Schley, Webster, and Marion counties. The services of the Adult Education learning program are free and available to anyone in the five county area.

South Georgia Technical College has been designated as an official test center for administering the test of General Educational Development (GED). Those making satisfactory scores on this test will receive a GED Diploma from the Technical College System of Georgia.
