The Career Services department at South Georgia Technical College is helping employers reach their employment goals by offering on-campus recruitment opportunities.

Recently, recruiter Ryan Blue of the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice Muscogee County branch travelled to SGTC in Americus for an in-person event to educate students and job seekers about their organization, collect resumes, and to meet and greet students who may fulfill skill-set needs. Blue set up his recruitment station in the high-traffic lobby of the SGTC cafeteria, also known as “The Landings”.

Students from a variety of programs had the opportunity to learn more about opportunities with the Department of Juvenile Justice including food service workers, correctional officers, and other positions requiring the skills taught at SGTC.
