SGTC, RESA Co-sponsor Robotics and Coding Event for Macon County Students

About 50 sixth through eighth grade students from Macon County recently visited the campus of South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) in Americus for an opportunity to learn more about robotics and coding. The event was co-sponsored by SGTC and Middle Georgia RESA and was held in the James M. Pope Industrial Technology Center.

The Macon county students gained experience and knowledge in coding, made scooter robots, and built various projects with snap circuits. The students also toured the SGTC programs located in the Pope Center including Precision Machining and Manufacturing, Industrial Maintenance Technology, Electrical Systems Technology, and Drafting Technology.
