South Georgia Technical College will hold its second Summer semester enrollment and registration day event on May 29 on both of its campuses – a day before the new semester begins on May 30. Orientation sessions will be held for new students at 9:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. on the Americus campus and at 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on the Cordele campus to accommodate for different schedules.

The Summer semester lasts just eight weeks and serves as an opportunity for students to get ahead or catch up on classes.

During the event, students will have the opportunity to meet with their advisor, register for classes, attend an orientation session, have an SGTC ID card made and receive help with their financial aid.

Individuals who are interested in applying to the college are also encouraged to attend the event and take advantage of SGTC’s one-stop admissions process, which allows students to apply, enroll and register in the same day. The admissions office will be on hand to help new students through the process of applying and registering for classes.

Students are encouraged to take advantage of the compact eight-week Summer semester
as a way to get ahead of catch up on classes in a shorter term than usual. For more information about the registration event, contact the admissions office at 229-931-2760 (Americus) or 229-271-4051 (Cordele).

South Georgia Tech offers over 200 associate degree, diploma and technical certificate of credit programs. For a full list of classes or to see what program is right for you, visit the South Georgia Technical College website: www.southgatech.edu.
