Sixty-seven students at South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) recently took a step toward maximizing their career success by registering with FOCUS 2, an online career and education planning system. The event attracted students and instructors from Air Conditioning, Cosmetology, Automotive, Auto Collision, Industrial Electrical, Motorsports, and General Education programs.

Dr. Deo Cochran, Retention & Coaching Specialist, and Cynthia Carter, Director of Career Services, led the session, providing students with a brief overview of FOCUS 2 and its benefits. The platform allows users to explore career options aligned with their personal attributes, conduct self-assessments, and navigate educational pathways tailored to their interests.

Carter encouraged students to stay proactive in their career development by signing up for FOCUS 2 webinars and utilizing all available resources to enhance their job readiness.

FOCUS 2 offers Single-Sign-On for secure access and is available on smartphones, tablets, PCs, Macs, and iPads, allowing students to plan their futures anytime, anywhere.

South Georgia Technical College offers a variety of workshops and resources aimed at helping students prepare for successful careers. With over 200 programs available in high-demand fields, SGTC provides cutting-edge education to equip students with the skills needed to excel in the workforce.
