South Georgia Technical College plans VIRTUAL graduation for Spring 2020 graduates with words of encouragement from President Dr. John Watford and other South Georgia Tech officials.

South Georgia Technical College postponed its Spring 2020 graduation due to the Coronavirus.  The SGTC Spring 2020 graduation was originally scheduled for Thursday, May 7th at 6 p.m.   All Spring graduates will be invited to participate in a face-to-face graduation ceremony later in the year when restrictions are lifted.  However, South Georgia Technical College would like to recognize its Spring 2020 graduates VIRTUALLY.

South Georgia Tech will be hosting a Virtual Graduation video that will be available on the website and the college’s social media accounts.  The audio portion of graduation will also air on the local radio station.

Graduates who would like to be recognized in this virtual graduation need to make sure they have completed their course work, have applied for graduation with the SGTC registrar, and send in an appropriate photo with their name and program of study to the SGTC email:  sgtc411@southgatech.edu.

The college virtual graduation video will offer words of encouragement from President Dr. John Watford, SGTC 2020 Goal Winner David Bush, Vice President of Academic Affairs David Kuipers, Academic Deans, and faculty and staff.  To make this the best it can be, we would like to include photos of our graduates.  The graduate’s photo and name will be called out with their program of study for completion of degree or diploma. Honor graduates will also be recognized.

To be included in the virtual ceremony, graduates are asked to submit an appropriate photo with name and program of study to sgtc411@southgatech.edu before Friday, May 1st.  South Georgia Technical College reserves the right not to use a photo that is not appropriate for a graduation ceremony.
