South Georgia Tech Crisp County Center nursing pinning ceremony held

Seventeen Practical Nursing graduates from the SGTC Crisp County Center Licensed Practical Nursing program participated in the Nursing Program’s Summer pinning ceremony in the LaPorte Auditorium on the Crisp County Center recently.

   The graduates from the Crisp County Center LPN program included: Elorie Elise Bailey, Angelia Ford-Brown, Taylor Bullock, Tanasha Coley, Que Collier, Ashell Terrell Davis, Vontae Evans, Shalyssica Gaston, Shaquenthia Grant, Aleia Nicole Harper, Sharena Antoinette Jackson, Teila McMillan, Iesha Moore, Melinda Noll, Alyssa Peacock, La”Quaria Riley, and Chance Underwood.

   Julie Partain, Dean of Enrollment Management at the South Georgia Technical College Crisp County Center, welcomed the approximately 200 individuals to the traditional pinning ceremony. Cathy Freeman, RN and SGTC Crisp County Center Practical Nursing Instructor, provided the introduction and Brandy Nipper, RN, SGTC Clinical Instructor was the guest speaker and did the presentation of graduates. Julie Partain, Cathy Freeman and Brandy Nipper presided over the pinning ceremony and then The Gideons did a Presentation of Bibles.

   Cathy Freeman and Brandy Nipper also led the students in the lighting of the candles and Nipper led the graduates in the nursing pledge. There was also a video presentation of the nursing students during their classroom and clinical experiences.
