South Georgia Technical College Career Services recently hosted a Job Fair for “The Staffing People, Inc.”.  The On-Campus Recruitment event was designed to give job seekers a chance to meet one another, to develop relationships that might lead to a job, and discuss potential job opportunities.  Applications were completed and interviews conducted on the spot.

The event was a good way for job seekers to meet face to face with The Staffing People. Their hiring team was on-hand with information about available opportunities and positions they’re hoping to fill.   Cynthia Carter, SGTC Career Services Director, says it is important to view other job seekers as valuable networking contacts, not as competition.  More area companies are planning for personalized On-Campus Recruitment in order to attract more skilled job seekers.

Events such as this are part of how South Georgia Technical works with business and industry leaders to help meet their employment needs and promote economic development in the community. To learn more about what SGTC Career Services has to offer contact ccarter@southgatech.edu.
