November 7, 2019
South Georgia Technical College Registrar Kari Bodrey is shown above with Lacy Bailey from the SGTC Financial Aid Department and Financial Aid Director Kelly Everett. They are ready and willing to help students sign up for Spring Semester. Students needing help with filling out and completing the FASFA can stop by and see Lacy Bailey, Kelly Everett, Kierra Sparks, or Danyl Tobias. If you have been to college before and are ready to come back, Kari Bodrey can help by looking at your transcripts to see what you need to complete.

South Georgia Technical College is encouraging everyone to “Impact Success at South Georgia Technical College” by registering for Spring Semester. The first registration is planned for Wednesday, November 13th on both the Americus and the Crisp County Center campuses.

Registration and Orientation will begin at 9:30 a.m., 1:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on the Americus campus in the Pope Center. Registration and Orientation on the Crisp County Center campus will be held at 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. in rooms A3 and A4. Classes begin Thursday, January 9th, 2020 on both campuses.

There are currently over 200 associate degree, diploma, or technical certificate of credit opportunities available at South Georgia Technical College. New Hope grant and federal financial aid changes may mean greater financial aid opportunities for many students.

The HOPE Career grant provides additional funding over the HOPE Grant from the Governor’s Office for Commercial Truck Driving, Early Childhood Care and Education, Welding, Electronics, Networking Specialist, Industrial Systems Technology, Machine Tool Technology, Practical Nursing and many others. This opportunity for students who qualify, make now a great time to begin or re-enroll and complete a college education.

“South Georgia Technical College is a great first step toward realizing educational and career goals,” said South Georgia Technical College President Dr. John Watford. “We can take a person where they are today and help them move forward. Once they take that initial step, we help impact their success by providing them with marketable skills for the workplace, and ultimately assist them in finding a fulfilling career that will allow our graduates to provide for themselves and their families.”
