SGTC PBL students earn six national chapter and individual awards

South Georgia Technical College’s Americus PBL chapter earned six national chapter and individual awards at the Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) National Leadership Conference (NLC) in San Antonio, Texas recently.

The six awards and recognitions earn by the Americus PBL Chapter included: being named Outstanding Chapter, Gold Seal Chapter, March of Dimes Grant – $1000, an IFL Scholarship for Heather Hinton, eighth place in the Community Service Project and 10th place for local chapter annual Business Report. 

South Georgia Technical College’s Shantelle Brito and Andreas Edwards also represented the college’s Americus Chapter of Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) at the National Leadership Conference and successfully completed the Institute for Leaders (IFL) Visionary Leadership Track. Shantelle Brito is a Markting Management student from Americus and Andreas Edwards is a Computer Information Specialist student from Americus. In addition to completing the Institute for Leaders Visionary Leadership Track, the two individuals also participated in NLC competitive events. Dr. Andrea Oates, Chapter Advisory, accompanied the students to the conference.
