Financial Aid Refund Disbursement Policy

If the total of all of a student’s financial aid is more than the tuition, fees and bookstore charges for the semester, the student will receive a financial aid refund. Two weeks after the first day of classes, the Financial Aid Department notifies the Business Office that Pell has been disbursed into Banner Accounts Receivable. Pell and other refunds are processed within 14 days and every two weeks after that. South Georgia Tech is partnered with BankMobile Disbursements, a technology solution, powered by BMTX, Inc. to deliver these refunds.
