The “CNA Plus Annual Scholarship 2016” worth $2,000 is currently available to South Georgia Technical College students or potential students who are interested in becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant. The scholarship is offered by CNA.plus.

The one-time $2,000 scholarship is being offered to help students cover some or all of the cost associated with tuition and to reward them for using their creativity to encourage better senior care.

The deadline to apply is December 31, 2016. Applicants must be enrolled in a state-approved CNA training/certification program with a vocational school, community college, university, technical institution or the Red Cross. Applicants must be a U.S. resident over the age of 18 and must be in good academic standing with their current educational institution.

To apply students can link to the CNA scholarship page: http://cna.plus/scholarship/. Students also must create a three-minute video on the topic of the importance of senior assistance and post it online (YouTube or Vimeo are preferred), then submit the link using the form on the Scholarship page or email it to: scholarships@cna.plus.

The video will not be used for any purposes other than selecting the winner and should answer the following question: “Senior care of the future: what can we do to provide better care to our senior citizens?”
