WorkKeys

ACT WorkKeys is a job skills assessment system that helps employers select, hire, train, develop, and retain a high-performance workforce. This series of tests measure foundational and soft skills and offers specialized assessments to target institutional needs.

As part of ACT’s Work Readiness System, SGTC has helped thousands of people in high schools, colleges, professional associations, businesses, and government agencies build their skills to increase global competitiveness and develop successful career pathways. These skills are required of virtually all jobs at various levels.

Employers who use the assessments see a decrease in overtime, turnover, and training time; increased productivity with employees whose skills match the job requirements; and fewer legal challenges on hiring and promotion decisions because the WorkKeys job profiling system is in compliance with the Uniform Guidelines.

Reading for Information, Applied Math, Locating Information, and Applied Technology assessments are given by appointment in the John M. Pope Industrial Technology Center and at the Crisp County Center.

Sample questions are available at the WorkKeys website.
