     Janice Hudson of Haddock, GA has joined South Georgia Technical College as a full-time Nurse Aide/Medical Instructor for the Crisp County Center effective immediately, announced South Georgia Technical College President Dr. John Watford.  She will report to South Georgia Technical College Vice President of Academic Affairs David Kuipers and the Dean of Enrollment Management Julie Partain.

    The dedicated clinical instructor has 25 years of experience in the nursing field.  She taught nursing at Central Georgia Technical College for the past two years and has worked as a Clinical Nurse for Atrium Health Baldwin in Milledgeville since 2015.

   She earned an Associate of Science in Nursing from Florida Community College in Jacksonville, Florida and then continued her education with Walden University in Minneapolis, MN where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

    Hudson has a passion for teaching and has experience in labor and delivery, working with long term patients in wound care, drug and alcohol rehab, and bereavement situations.  She is a nursing professional with proven teaching expertise and devotion to building up new nurses with skills necessary to excel in today’s healthcare setting.

    In her capacity as a full-time Nurse Aide/Medical Instructor at the SGTC Crisp County Center, Hudson will be responsible for providing instruction to students in Nurse Aide/Medical programs.  She will execute the program standards of an accredited program of study to include classroom instruction, identifying appropriate resources and teaching methods, and evaluating students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives as well as responsible for classroom/lab/clinical instructions and evaluations.

     She will be joining Medical Assisting and Practical Nursing instructors Carol Cowan and Brandy Nipper on the Crisp County Campus.  Jennifer Childs, Christine Rundle and Jeana Yawn are the Nursing and Medical Assisting Instructors on the Americus campus.
