Lt. Ferlisa Sims from the Department of Corrections Macon State Prison visited South Georgia Technical College recently to talk with students about job opportunities with the Department of Corrections.

South Georgia Technical College Criminal Justice Instructor Teresa McCook took the opportunity to allow her students to meet with Lt. Sims and talk with her about careers in corrections.    She talked with students about the requirements needed to work in Corrections in various fields and what to do if they are interested in applying once they graduate.

“I appreciate Lt. Sims and other speakers who are willing to come out and talk with students.  This gives our students an opportunity to learn from officers working in the field,” said McCook.
