Lady Jets defeat East Georgia, Jets fall

The South Georgia Technical College Lady Jets may have clinched first place in Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) Division I women’s standings Saturday and the opportunity to host the NJCAA Region XVII tournament. The Lady Jets secured a narrow 78 – 72 win over the second ranked East Georgia State College Lady Bobcats in Swainsboro and are now 9- 1 in the conference. East Georgia fell to 7 – 3. The Jets came out sluggish and were down 38 – 19 at the half and ended up losing 81 – 49.
