SGTC Board member spotlighted for community service

South Georgia Technical College Board of Director member Mattye Gordon of Taylor County was presented with the Georgia Retired Educators Association Community Service Award recently by the Taylor County Retired Educators Association.
Mrs. Gordon contributed a total of 163 hours of volunteer service and was recognized for her untiring hours of donating time and volunteering service to the community. “Ms. Gordon has shown exemplary volunteerism to the community throughout the years,” said Gayle Wyrick, TCREA President, who explained that the Georgia Retired Educators Association’s motto is fellowship, support, and service.
Mattye Gordon was appointed to the South Georgia Technical College Board of Directors in October 2017 and represents Taylor County on the Board.
