South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) Special Services Coordinator Jennifer Robinson recently conducted a series of training sessions for SGTC instructors.

As the Special Services Coordinator, Robinson plans, organizes, and coordinates student support programs for special population students within federal, state, and local guidelines. She also assists college personnel with analysis and implementation of best practices for working with students who may need assistance or accommodation in order to meet the requirements of their respective courses of study at SGTC.

Robinson conducted the training sessions in small groups with appropriate social distancing measures to help mitigate the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Her aim, in part, was to help SGTC instructors determine effective ways to work with special population students during the pandemic as many classes move to an online or hybrid format.
