The South Georgia Technical College Foundation thanked the members of the Flint Energies Foundation for their support of the faculty, staff, and students at South Georgia Technical College.

Flint Energies Foundation has been supporting South Georgia Technical College and the SGTC Foundation since 2004 and were recognized recently for achieving the Silver Club member status and for being a member of the Foundation’s President’s Club for giving over $5,000 in a single year.  The Silver Club status is for life-time giving between $100,000 and $499,999.

On behalf of South Georgia Technical College, I would like to thank the Flint Energies Foundation not only for their support of our students through gifts to the Foundation, but also for their support of the college and our academic programs,” said SGTC President Dr. John Watford.  “Flint Energies has been an integral partner of our Electrical Lineworker, Commercial Truck Driving and our Adult Education-GED programs.  They have not only provided grants and scholarships for students but also provided equipment and support for all of our over 200 academic programs.”

SGTC Foundation Executive Director and Vice President of Institutional Advancement Su Ann Bird echoed Dr. Watford’s comments.  “We are so appreciative of Flint Energies and the Flint Energies Foundation for their willingness to partner with South Georgia Technical College and the SGTC Foundation.  Their gifts and support are creating opportunities for individuals throughout our service delivery area and around the state.  On behalf of the SGTC Foundation, we are pleased to present these tokens of appreciation for helping us educate students and place them in the workforce.”
