SGTC to hold registration and new student orientation November 10

South Georgia Technical College is currently registering new and returning students for spring semester, which begins Monday, January 9, 2017. However, students are encouraged to apply or register during the early registration and orientation sessions on both campuses on Thursday, November 10th.

For the Americus campus, new student orientation sessions are held at 9:30am, 1:30pm, and 5pm. The Crisp County Center campus will hold orientation sessions at 9:30am and 5pm. New students, however, can register at any time and attend online orientation at their convenience between 8am and 6pm.

Additional financial aid is available to HOPE eligible students in the following programs through the SIWDG (Strategic Industries Workforce Development Grant): Commercial Truck Driving, Diesel Equipment Technology, Early Childhood Care and Education, Electronics Technology, Industrial Systems Technology, Machine Tool Technology, Medical Coding, Networking Specialist, Nurse Aide, Phlebotomy Technician, Practical Nursing, and Welding and Joining Technology. SGTC offers over 200 degree, diploma, and certificate programs. South Georgia Tech continues to offer textbooks at no cost to students (excluding consumables such as workbooks and other supplies) through the Free Books program.

An additional registration and orientation session will be held on both campuses on Thursday, January 5, 2017.
