SGTC Marketing Management Advisory Committee Meets
The Marketing Management advisory committee at South Georgia Technical College recently met to review the program’s progress and discuss current trends within the marketing industry.
Marketing Management instructor Mary Cross provided updates on enrollment, curriculum changes, student achievements, and community involvement. The meeting gave committee members an opportunity to offer feedback and share professional insights to help strengthen the program.
Advisory committee members discussed potential curriculum enhancements, emerging marketing tools and technologies, training opportunities, and employment and internship options for students. They also provided input on salary expectations for graduates entering the workforce.
Advisory committees serve as an important connection between SGTC and industry professionals, helping ensure that programs remain aligned with workplace demands and that students are prepared for successful careers upon graduation.
Members in attendance included Julian Bacon and Alicia Green of Sumter County High School; Kayla Bowens of Innovative Senior Solutions; Andrea Tatum of BAT Transportation; and Harriet Glover of Belk. Also representing SGTC were Academic Dean Dr. David Finley; Katrice Martin, Director of Institutional Effectiveness and Grants Coordinator; and Melissa Hollis, Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Academic Affairs.
