South Georgia Technical College is set to offer more than 40 classes during the fall semester’s upcoming “c-term.” The eight-week mini semester will begin on Oct. 15 and will run through Dec. 18, allowing students the opportunity to catch up or get ahead in their classes before the spring semester begins in January.

Students on both the Americus and Crisp County Center campuses will have the opportunity to take both core classes and some program-specific courses. The full course list includes classes in practical nursing, English, criminal justice, diesel technology, industrial systems technology, marketing management, sports and fitness management, math, psychology and commercial truck driving. Existing students can log into their Banner Web accounts for a detailed look at the c-term schedule and can speak with their advisor about registering for classes.

Financial aid is available for c-term classes. South Georgia Technical College students may also qualify for the Hope Scholarship, Hope Grant, and the Hope Career Grant, depending on their major. The Hope Career Grant allows students to earn up to $1000 per semester for enrolling in programs that are in-high demand in Georgia’s workforce. South Georgia Technical College also offers students job placement assistance. For more information about financial aid options call 229.931.2319 in Americus or 229.271.4043 in Cordele.
