SGTC sponsors Coffee with A Cop Day

South Georgia Technical College Cosmetology Instructor Dorothea McKenzie, her instructors and students came to the “Coffee With A Cop” celebration in the Odom Center Lobby area.

   The South Georgia Technical College Police Department and Campus Safety Office invited SGTC students to enjoy “Coffee With A Cop” October 4th from 7:30 a.m.  until 9 a.m. in the Odom Center Lobby in honor of “Coffee With A Cop” Day.

   Students, faculty and staff were able to stop by and grab some coffee and a snack and talk with Campus Safety Staff about on-campus housing or safety concerns and compliments.

   SGTC Police Chief Sammy Stone and his officers as well as Academic Dean Brett Murray, who is a POST Certified Officer, were on hand to talk with students and enjoy coffee and snacks.

   The “Coffee With A Cop” Day was sponsored by the SGTC Student Affairs Department.
