SGTC to host African American History program on Cordele Campus

South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) will host an African American History program at the Crisp County Center in Cordele on Thursday, February 27, at 10:30 am. Reverend Keith Lewis will serve as the featured speaker.

The program will start with introductory remarks from SGTC Dean of Enrollment Management Julie Partain. Members of the SGTC chapter of the National Technical Honor Society will follow with presentations on important figures in African American history.

Katrice Taylor, SGTC Admissions Coordinator for the Crisp County Center, will spotlight African American artists and introduce the featured speaker.

The Reverend Keith Lewis lives in Vienna and has worked as a custodian at SGTC since 2003. He serves as the Pastor of the Bethel Baptist Church and the Oak Grove Baptist Church. He has been  married to Mrs. Laresa Sterling Lewis for 33 years and they have two sons Jonathan Lewis and Joshua Lewis.
