South Georgia Technical College’s National Technical Honor Society (NTHS), Phi Beta Lambda (PBL), Student Government Association (SGA) and SkillsUSA members from the college’s Crisp County Center are holding a Relay for Life Raffle for a hand crafted butterfly bench. The bench was created by the SGTC Welding and Joining Technology department. All proceeds from the raffle will go to support the Crisp County Relay for Life, which is being held at SGTC’s Crisp County Center on Friday, May 5th at 6pm. The drawing for the bench will take place April 26th.

Raffle tickets can be purchased at the front desk of the Crisp County Center campus or from a NTHS, PBL, SGA or SkillsUSA member. Ticket pricing is as follows: $2 for 1 ticket, $5 for 3 tickets, $10 for 7 tickets or $20 for 15 tickets.

Relay for Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. It is a team fundraising event where team members take turns walking around a track or designated path to honor and remember those affected by cancer. These events bring communities together to remember loved ones lost, honor survivors of all cancers, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society make a global impact on the fight against cancer.
