SGTC’s Tylen Pepito nominated for 2025 Student Impact Award
South Georgia Technical College Admissions Counselor-Recruiter Tylen Pepito was nominated for the 2025 Student Impact Award and was recognized at the Technical College System of Georgia Student Affairs Summit in Peachtree City.
Each of the 22 colleges in the Technical College System of Georgia was asked to nominate one Student Affairs/Student Services staff member for the 2025 Student Impact Award. They were asked to select the staff member who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to student success and service.
SGTC Vice President of Student Affairs Eulish Kinchens recommended Tylen Pepito for the honor. “Tylen’s passion for connecting students with educational opportunities, along with strategic and forward-thinking approach to recruitment, has significantly strengthened our enrollment efforts,” said Kinchens. “One of Tylen’s most impressive contributions has been expanding our recruitment footprint beyond our traditional service areas. Due to his exceptional outreach efforts and relationship-building skills, we’ve seen a notable increase in invitations to attend college fairs and recruitment events in new and competitive markets.”
Kinchens went on to add that Pepito’s student-centered approach is one of the traits that distinguishes him. “He goes beyond simply presenting program offerings – he connects with students on a personal level, ensuring that prospective students understand not just the admissions process but how they can thrive within our campus community. Whether through campus tours, virtual info sessions, school visits, or one-on-one advising, Tylen consistently receives outstanding feedback from students and families for his warmth, authenticity, and clarity.”
In closing her recommendation for the honor, Kinchens added, “in every respect Tylen exemplifies excellence in admissions work. He is results-oriented, passionate, and a highly effective recruiter who is so deserving of the TCSG Student Impact Award.”
This is the first year that the Student Impact Award has been implemented at the Student Affairs Summit. This award is a valuable opportunity to honor the outstanding contributions of colleagues and celebrate the collective strength of Student Affairs professionals across TCSG.
