South Georgia Tech Spring Graduation set for Thursday, May 2nd at 6 p.m.

South Georgia Technical College will be hosting its 2019 spring graduation exercise Thursday, May 2nd at 6 p.m. in the James S. Peters Gymnasium on the Americus campus.

  Kelsi Cannon of Ellaville, GA, South Georgia Technical College’s 2019 Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) winner, is scheduled to be the guest speaker at the event. The SGTC practical nursing student will address the graduates and their families, fellow students, faculty, and staff during the commencement ceremony.

  Approximately 175 students will be receiving an associate degree or diploma at the graduation exercise. Thirty-four students have been designated as Presidential Honor Graduates with a 3.90 – 4.0 grade point average (GPA) or will be recognized as Honor Graduates with a cumulative GPA of 3.70 to 3.89.

  This is the second graduation for South Georgia Technical College during the 2018 – 2019 school year. South Georgia Technical College will have awarded nearly 400 different associate degrees or diplomas this year.
