South Georgia Technical College will be hosting its 2018 spring graduation exercise Tuesday, May 8th at 6 p.m. in the James S. Peters Gymnasium on the Americus campus.
Noah McCleskey of Pinehurst, GA, South Georgia Technical College’s 2018 Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) winner, is scheduled to be the guest speaker at the event. The Crisp County Center welding student will address the graduates and their families, fellow students, faculty, and staff during the commencement ceremony.
Approximately 200 students will be receiving an associate degree or diploma at the graduation exercise. Thirty-five students have been designated as Presidential Honor Graduates with a 3.90 – 4.0 grade point average (GPA) or will be recognized as Honor Graduates with a cumulative GPA of 3.70 to 3.89.
This is the second graduation for South Georgia Technical College during the 2017 – 2018 school year. South Georgia Technical College will have awarded over 400 different associate degrees or diplomas this year.
