All students need to complete the FASFA financial aid forms for the new year. For more information, contact the SGTC Financial Aid office at 229-931-2319 in Americus or 229-271-4043 in Cordele. Classes begin August 14th so begin making plans now to “Take Off with South Georgia Tech” this fall.

South Georgia Technical College is encouraging students to “Take Off with South Georgia Tech” by registering for Fall Semester. The first registration is planned for Tuesday, July 25th on both the Americus and the Crisp County Center campuses.

Registration and Orientation will begin at 9:30 a.m., 1:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on the Americus campus in Haynes Building Room 124. Registration and Orientation on the Crisp County Center campus will be held at 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. in rooms A3 and A4. Classes begin Monday, August 14th, 2017 on both campuses.

There are currently over 200 associate degree, diploma, or technical certificate of credit opportunities available at South Georgia Technical College. New Hope grant and federal financial aid changes may mean greater financial aid opportunities for many students.

The HOPE Career grant provides additional funding over the HOPE Grant from the Governor’s Office for Commercial Truck Driving, Early Childhood Care and Education, Welding, Electronics, Networking Specialist, Industrial Systems Technology, Machine Tool Technology, and Practical Nursing. This opportunity for students who qualify, make now a great time to begin or re-enroll and complete a college education.

“South Georgia Technical College is a great first step toward realizing educational and career goals,” said South Georgia Technical College President Dr. John Watford. “We can take a person right where they are today and help them move forward. Once they take that initial step, we help them ‘take off’ and provide them with marketable skills for the workplace, and ultimately assist them in finding a fulfilling career that will allow our graduates to provide for themselves and their families.”

It is not too late to “Take Off with South Georgia Tech” fall semester.
