South Georgia Technical College to host ribbon cutting at new Taylor County Adult Education site

BUTLER, Ga. – South Georgia Technical College and the Taylor County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a grand opening/ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, January 22nd from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at South Georgia Tech’s new Taylor County Adult Education site at 35 Oak Street in Butler, GA, announced SGTC President Dr. John Watford.
The public is invited to attend. The actual ribbon cutting will be held at 6 p.m. A brief program and refreshments will be provided.
The Technical College System of Georgia added Taylor County to the South Georgia Technical College service delivery last year. South Georgia Tech currently offers over 200 associate degree, diploma, and technical certificate of credit programs as well as adult education services to the citizens of Sumter, Crisp, Schley, Macon, Marion, and Webster Counties. Now those same services are also being offered to the residents of Taylor County.
Information about the Adult Education program in Taylor County as well as information about the credit programs offered at the Americus and Crisp County campuses will be highlighted as well.
