South Georgia Tech Jets Booster Club to host Tip-Off event

The South Georgia Technical College Jets and Lady Jets basketball teams are gearing up for another exciting season and will be hosting the Jets Booster Club Tip-Off event on Thursday, October 23 at 6 p.m. in the SGTC James S. Peters gymnasium.
All Jets Booster Club members, prospective members, guests, and interested persons are invited to attend the “Tip-Off Event” which will allow individuals to meet the Jets and Lady Jets players and coaches as well as enjoy a dinner of hamburgers and hotdogs. Individuals attending are asked to RSVP to Terri Battle, 229-931-2719.
South Georgia Technical College President Dr. John Watford and Jets Booster Club President Doug Goodin stressed that the Jets Booster Club is a vital part of the basketball programs at SGTC.
The Lady Jets, under the leadership of Coach Jason Carpenter, are looking to defend their Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association (GCAA) conference title and a return to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) national tournament. The Jets and Head Coach Chris Ballauer are working hard to win the GCAA conference title and make their third overall appearance in the national tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas.
The Jets Booster Club membership dues assist the college in travel, recruiting and tournament expenses as well as scholarships. The Jets Booster club has various levels of membership: Passenger (Faculty/Staff): $25; Flight Crew: $75; Co-Pilots – $125; Pilot- $250; Corporate Jet – $500; Private Jet- $1,000 and Airforce One – $1500. A flight crew receives a t-shirt and concessions punch card; the co-pilot level receives two t-shirts and concessions punch card; the pilot level receives a polo shirt, t-shirt, concessions punch card and $50 Jets bucks; Corporate Jet Club members receive a fleece pullover, polo shirt, t-shirt, concessions punch card and $100 of Jets Bucks; and the Private Jet level includes 2 pullovers, 2 polo shirts, two t-shirts, concessions punch card, $200 in Jets Bucks and a banner in the gymnasium. The Air Force One level includes all of the Private Jet level plus advertising on digital scoreboard. Jets Bucks are gift certificates that are redeemable at the SGTC Bookstore or Souvenir Shop.
