SGTC Conducts Workshop to Help Students Improve Study Skills

Dr. Deo Cochran-Sherrod, South Georgia Technical College Retention and Coaching Specialist, recently conducted a workshop on the topic of study skills for students on the SGTC Americus campus. The workshop was designed to help students discover their best strategies to strengthen their study habits and wellness practices.

In her presentation, Cochran-Sherrod discussed and explained ten strategies and tips for effective studying. Topics included time management, procrastination, and test-taking skills. Each student was also given an assessment to determine their individual learning styles such as auditory, visual, or kinesthetic.
