SGTC Early Childhood Care and Education Hosts Guest Speaker

The Early Childhood Care and Education program at South Georgia Technical College’s Crisp County Center hosted a guest speaker recently from the First Baptist Child Development Center in Cordele.

Nina Adams, director of First Baptist Child Development Center, visited with early childhood care and education instructor Lisa Penton’s class to speak on several topics related to employment in the field of childcare.

Adams discussed with students how their education is their job security and how they can better their communities with the services they provide as a daycare worker. She also provided students with a list of all of the licensed daycares and providers in Crisp County, gave them tips for a successful job interview and offered mock interviews to any student who was interested.
