The Americus chapter of South Georgia Technical College’s Student Government Association (SGA) is sponsoring its third annual Toiletry Drive for area community service organizations from now until Dec. 15, SGA advisor Dr. Michele Seay announced.

SGTC students, faculty and staff members as well as members from the Sumter County community are encouraged to bring items such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes and other toiletry items to the General Education office in the Energy and Transportation Building on the Americus campus. Both travel-size and regular-sized items will be accepted.

The items will be delivered to area agencies on Dec. 15 and are expected to help members of the community in their time of need.

The Student Government Association (SGA) consists of a representative from each program.  From the representatives, five officers are elected and serve a one-year term.  The SGA meets the first Wednesday of each month to approve expenditures of student activity fees, coordinates activities and addresses issues of concern to students.
