South Georgia Technical College (SGTC) will host its third Spring Take-Off event on Friday, April 7th from 10am-2pm on both the main campus in Americus and the Crisp County Center in Cordele.

Spring Take-Off highlights each of SGTC’s program areas and informs prospective students of financial aid opportunities, student life, career placement, and all SGTC has to offer. Hot dogs and other refreshments will be served free of charge for all who attend the event. The $25 application fee will also be waived for anyone who wishes to apply to South Georgia Technical College on the day of the event, which is open to the public. All prospective students and their families are encouraged to attend.

The event will be held in the James S. Peters Gymnasium on the Americus campus, and the LaPorte Auditorium of the Crisp County Center.

“South Georgia Tech has some of the greatest technical instructors in the state, if not the country, and they’re always proud to show what their programs are made of,” said SGTC President Dr. John Watford. “Faculty and staff members have impressed prospective students and their parents every year at this event, and they continue to top themselves with their creative and informative displays every year.”

“SGTC has so much to offer, not only with the amount of programs we offer and the diversity of those programs, but with the resources we provide as well,” said SGTC Director of Admissions Whitney Crisp. “High school students and their parents can ask questions directly to SGTC staff and program advisors and find out everything they need to do to apply and get registered for summer or fall semester.”
